My passion for Italy began when I worked in Rimini on the Adriatic coast. Its coastal lifestyle and pace of life was extremely appealing to what was then a very young man. How long ago? Well, suffice to say it was when England won the World Cup! It is also where I met the incomparable Christine, who later was to become my wife and business partner. In 1970 we relocated to Italy to run the operation of a villa management company and with the blessing of the owner, in 1973 my wife and I set up our own company, 'Bellaglen Italian Villas', later to become 'Bridgewater's Idyllic Italy' as we are now known and still owned and managed by Christine with the support of our three daughters.

Over the past years, I have successfully managed, rented and sold properties throughout Italy and after so long in the business, my network of contacts has become quite vast and and I am forever being asked to find people a 'bolt hole in the sun', not only just for a few weeks, but also for life. So, one request has become many and many became a business. Now with my contacts and extensive experience, I like to think my personal touch is what makes the difference for my clients.

I spend the large part of every year traveling back and forth across Italy viewing properties, attending meetings, signing contracts. While it seems 'the life of Riley', it can be tiring. However, If one has a passion for life, people and Italy in general, as I do, every trip is an adventure and there is always a new experience to be had.

Together with Peter Curwen, a friend and business partner for many years, our passion and mission is now for Molise, in particular a beautiful mountain village called 'San Angelo' which is waiting to welcome you as part of its now fast growing community.
